J. M. Stigam

Born in Leuven, Belgium, J. M. Stigam´s passion for Barcelona's history came early, as he traveled to this enchanting city on multiple occasions. 

In 2016, the long distance relationship became a full blown love affair when Stigam moved to Barcelona. He has been living there ever since with his wife and daughter.

His first book, Barcelona Eternal, is a homage to Barcelona´s history and people. Its first chapter describes the dawn of Barcelona from a sleepy Roman military camp at the fringes of the Empire to a booming colony. In the second chapter, set in the Middle Ages, the reader joins two Jewish brothers as they struggle for survival. 

J. M. Stigam  is currently working on a sequel to Barcelona Eternal, in which Barcelona steers its own path during the Industrial revolution and Spanish Civil war.
